In India, cost of knee replacement is the foremost thought in your mind. The cost depends upon age, gender & prosthesis requirement and is decided after consultation. A total knee replacement package is available to suit your budget. Costs start at 1,65000 INR for a single knee replacement for a five day stay in a general ward. This cost is based on the appromiate bill of last few patients and is not an absolute amount. However don't get distracted by lowest cost when considering a major procedure like knee replacement surgery. Quality is of utmost importance. Get a quote. Cost includes the following under regional anesthesia.
    Stay in single room for 5 nights starting on the day of surgery. Extra days before and after will be charged additionally.
    Cost of standard prosthesis
    Fees of surgeon, anesthesiologist and assistant.
    Duty doctor's & nursing charges.
    Theatre charges
    Standard medication for regional anesthesia
    Physiotherapy
    Consumables & routine medications related to a straight forward procedure.

    In case of severe deformities, general anesthesia, difficult knees, complications, costs will increase. You will be informed in advance to procure more funds. Individual conditions can make the procedure more complicated and costlier.
    A procedure done under general anesthesia will be charged extra.
    Doctor's fees, hospital bills, implant costs are to be settled separately.

    In case of upgraded accommodation or extended stay, additional costs will be incurred. Professional fees will rise commensurately.

    Prices apply to patients settling their bill in Indian rupees directly. Insurance payments are chargeable at different rates.
